Who We Are
FOCUS MSU is the Montana State University Bozeman chapter of the Federation of Classified University Staff. We represent classified staff on the MSU Bozeman campus, as well as MSU employees located in extension offices, agricultural stations, nursing campuses, and other MSU facilities across the state.
All of our officers and stewards are MSU classified employees and dues-paying union members.
What We Do
What We Do
FOCUS negotiates the wages, benefits, and working conditions of classified staff at seven Montana University System campuses. Our collective bargaining agreement, renegotiated every two years, is available here.
FOCUS also enforces the terms of this collective bargaining agreement. We do this through negotiations where possible, but we represent employees in the grievance process or in disciplinary proceedings as necessary.

The Montana Federation of Public Employees represents over 24,000 state, county, municipal, K-12, and higher education employees
